Idaho Ranked 5th Best State to Start a Business

According to WalletHub, the gem state is the best location to start your own business. Boise was recently featured in an article showing that Idaho (boise) is good for startups and just small businesses in general. According to the report, Idaho ranks top in terms of average increase in the number of small companies. More than 200,000 businesses have closed as a result of the epidemic, and many employment are unlikely to return. As the economy continues to recover, many former employees have opted not to leave their future in the hands of their employers and have started their own businesses.

IDAHO’S RANKING INCLUDED:

  • 1st – Avg. Growth in Number of Small Businesses

  • 9th – Office-Space Affordability

  • 15th – Labor Costs

  • 22nd – Cost of Living

  • 5th – Startups per Capita

Texas ranked first if considering a business startup followed by Georgia, California, Florida and then Idaho. Idaho's ranking fell somewhat due to the state ranking 41st in the considering of "access to resources". Our state did rank fourth in overall business environment and eighth in business costs.”
